Miners' Memorial Park
Elliot Lake Mining Monument and Miners' Memorial

The Miners' Memorial Park was recently constructed around the Mining Monument and Miners' Memorial.  The park is a linear, accessible walkway with adjacent trails that access the picturesque shores of Horne Lake.  The park features a pier over Horne Lake where rainbow trout, pike, perch and splake are abundant and fishing is encouraged.

The Mining Monument and Miners' Memorial are moving tributes to Elliot Lake's mining heritage and to the hard working miners who risked their lives each day and the community and families that supported them. The Miners' Memorial is engraved with names of workers from the Elliot Lake mines who died of workplace accidents or occupational illnesses.  The Mining Monument highlights some of the factual history of mining in Elliot Lake.
