North Shore Loop

Distance:   170 km - can be shortened by half depending on route chosen

Suggested Time:   1 day

Rating:   Easy - always close to communities and amenities

Description

The North Shore Loop really is what snowmobiling in this area is all about.  Trails offer many different terrains and travel through full service communities every 30 to 50 kilometres - a rare opportunity for snowmobilers in Northern Ontario - where communities are usually far apart.

This loop starts in Elliot Lake and travels through Blind River, Spragge and Spanish.  Trails range from the pipeline trail between Elliot Lake and Blind River to the tight, meandering trail between Spragge and Elliot Lake.  The former TOP D trail between Spanish and Blind River provides some great views of Lake Huron's North Channel and some fun dips along the power line.

The North Shore Loop is an easy one day ride with many stops along the way.  it's great for the novice rider that likes different trails with great views but likes to be close to the services and safety of communities.

Great Picture Stops
