Description

Kind of a funny name for a snowmobile trail loop.  Why is it so secret?  Is it not on any maps?  Is it hidden?  Not at all.  We just find it funny that so many visiting riders call the hydro line leaving Elliot Lake the best kept secret in Ontario.  It's mapped, meticulously groomed, welled marked and even somewhat well travelled,  yet everyone that rides it seems to gain a feeling of solitude while they find thrills along the popular hydro line run.  So it's not really a secret but everyone that rides it seems to think it is all their own.

We can't forget the great trails that form the rest of this route.  The hydro line takes riders to Iron Bridge only to have the luxury of a fantastic return trip along an awesome former logging road where deer are a regular site.  When the snow falls on the pines that border this trail, it feels like you're riding through a serene tunnel of snow.  An incredible site.

As with many other loops around Elliot Lake, this route is an easy day trip and keeps riders close to the safety and convenience of the area's snowmobile friendly communities.
